We live in Ashland ¾ miles from the nearest cable connection. For years we struggled with getting the internet. We tried every available provider, including Century Link, Hughes, Dish, and US Cellular. All provided maddening results: slow speed, endless buffering, interrupted and sometimes intermittent connection. Almost a year ago we started using WiFi Bear, and we are very, very happy. We signed on with Wifi Bear a couple of years ago and are very happy with the quality of signal and support. When we purchased our home on Old 99 we didn't consider quality of signal or cable and fiber availability.
